We’re launching Prax — a web-based manual market replay tool for traders who treat practice as part of the job.
What Prax does today
Prax is in the same category as ForexTester and TradingView Bar Replay: pick a market, scrub through historical price action bar by bar, and place practice trades by hand. It is not algorithmic backtesting. There’s no code to write.
What ships at launch:
- Bar-by-bar replay — scrub through any historical session at your own pace
- Practice trades — buy, sell, set stops at any bar; every fill is logged
- Multi-timeframe charts — 1m, 5m, 1H, 1D, switch without leaving the session
- Speed controls — fast-forward the calm, slow down the volatile
- Technical indicators — moving averages, RSI, MACD, and the classic toolkit
- Drawing tools — trendlines, levels, channels, annotations
- Performance analytics — P&L, win rate, drawdown, average trade
- Session history — every replay session saved for review and comparison
Where the data comes from
Three providers, your own keys:
- Binance — public crypto market data, downloaded directly in your browser to stay ToS-compliant. No API key needed.
- EODHD — global stocks, FX, and ETFs across the US, Europe, China, India, Asia, and LatAm. Bring your API key.
- JQuant — deep Japanese equities coverage. Bring your API key.
Your API keys never leave your control. We do not resell or repackage market data.
Free at launch
No card, no timer, no lite mode. Manual replay is free at launch and stays free. Paid features (synthetic markets, AI model training, autonomous bot deployment) come later, when we earn them.
What’s coming
Manual replay is v1. The longer arc:
- Synthetic markets — unlimited AI-generated price action that behaves like the real thing but never repeats
- Clone yourself — train an AI model on the practice trades you capture in Prax to find where your edge actually lives
- Deploy a bot — run validated models as autonomous bots after exhaustive cross-market testing
